Technical experience is not required but some strength, enthusiasm to learn and keen sensibility to the project is a necessity. I’m asking for five hours a day five days a week the rest of the time you can devote to your own practice, enjoy the company of other resident artists or just trek through the high sierras.
Tasks will include:
mixing concrete, using a concrete vibrator, building moulds, cutting wood for form work, using wood cutting tools, some heavy(ish) lifting, clearing and cleaning up the site, dry stone walling, landscaping and land restoration (both dry and aquatic), cleaning and preserving and cataloguing form work for a print series, documentation.
Assistance is unpaid but reciprocated with free accommodation and meals at the Joya: AiR residency. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom and enjoy gourmet food with the resident artists at Joya: AiR
In addition you will benefit from the many artists talks that take place most evenings as well as enjoying and learning from the company of our many international resident artists and writers. You can see some examples of artists and activities here… Instagram

Estoy pidiendo cinco horas al día cinco días a la semana el resto del tiempo puedes dedicarlo a tu propia práctica, disfrutar de la compañía de otros artistas residentes o simplemente caminar por las sierras altas.
Las tareas incluirán:
mezclar concreto, usar un vibrador de concreto, construir moldes, cortar madera para encofrar, usar herramientas para cortar madera, algo de trabajo pesado, despejar y limpiar el sitio, muros de piedra seca, paisajismo y restauración de terrenos (tanto secos como acuáticos) , limpieza y conservación y catalogación de formularios para una serie impresa, documentación.
La asistencia no es remunerada, pero es un intercambio por alojamiento privado y comidas gratuitos en la residencia Joya: AiR. Tendrás tu propia habitación y baño y disfrutarás de comida gourmet con los artistas residentes de Joya: AiR
